Oh jeez. It's December. I know, right?

I saw somebody's Facebook post the other day. It said:  Is it December already? OMFG. I think I knew what they meant.

It's December and I'm supposed to feel great. Merry ho ho. But I am so not feeling it. Instead ... is that dread? Really? There is way too much to do. Parties to go too, whoop. Food to eat/cook/clean up after. Avoiding the baleful stares of the Salvation Army Santas stationed like sad sentries guarding the gates of Wal-Mart as you hustle in for some last minute Scotch tape. (Oh wait, that's me? Fear of Santa-clad bell-ringers?)

And I haven't even started my shopping. And I have stuff to send overseas. Hellllp.

I adore the idea of the holidays.

Holidays are supposed to be magical. They used to be. Remember? They always were for me when I was little.

I remember....
